Human Resources

The Human Resources Department is responsible for the administration of the personnel activities of the Town's 250+ full time and part time employees, including the following functions:

  • Recruitment of new employees
  • Administration of employee benefit programs
  • Negotiation and Administration of the provisions of the police, fire, highway and service employees international union contracts
  • Tracking of workers' compensation claims
  • Administration of pension plans
  • Establishing, and updating as required, salary structures for all non-union positions
  • Administering performance evaluation programs 
  • Managing Town Bus Services
  • Managing Parking Enforcement and Permits
