Human Resources
The Human Resources Department is responsible for the administration of the personnel activities of the Town's 250+ full time and part time employees, including the following functions:
- Recruitment of new employees
- Administration of employee benefit programs
- Negotiation and Administration of the provisions of the police, fire, highway and service employees international union contracts
- Tracking of workers' compensation claims
- Administration of pension plans
- Establishing, and updating as required, salary structures for all non-union positions
- Administering performance evaluation programs
- Managing Town Bus Services
- Managing Parking Enforcement and Permits
