MEETING TO ORDER
Dani made a motion to call the meeting to order. Jennifer seconded. The meeting was called to order at 7:04pm. 

MINUTES

  • Tracey made a motion to approve the March 2024 Minutes. Mike seconded. All approved.

TREASURER’S REPORT

  • One transaction for brochures has been submitted. 
  • We’ve spent roughly 81% of our Town Budget for this year.
  • Scholarship Fundraiser money will be deposited this month once collected.
  • Mike made a motion to formally stop payment on this year’s Chamber of Commerce annual membership fee. The motion was tabled until more information can be collected.

Old Business

Scholarship and Fundraiser Update

  • The fundraiser was a great success. The council plans to do similar fundraisers going forward to fund the scholarship!
  • The council was briefed on the current submissions for this year’s scholarship. Council members will review the submissions and determine the recipient within the next week. 

Behind the Scenes

  • The council was briefed on the current nominees submitted from the organizations.
  • The council will decide on a recipient for the Nancy Comstock Andrews award in the coming weeks.

Group Updates as needed

Banners

  • There are a few organizations in the incorrect banner positions that will impact the next few month's schedule. The council discussed ways to resolve the issue.
  • There are several banner parts that are in need of repairs.
  • The council discussed the current banner guidelines/designs and would like to provide a few sample banner designs to share with organizations going forward.

Artwatch Column

  • Current column will be published on Thurs, 4/4.

Town Hall Newsletter

  • Draft will be circulated to the council this week.

Brochures

  • Spring Brochures are in and will be distributed out to town this week.

Make Music Day

  • There are 15 musicians who are already committed.
  • Website will be up by the end of the month.
  • The plan is to have most acts start later in the day since the event will be on a Friday this year.

ADJOURNMENT

  • The meeting was adjourned at 8:07pm following a motion made by Dani and seconded by Jennifer. All approved.

 

The next meeting will be 5/1/2024 at 7pm.
