1) Report of Tree Warden
2) Approval of Minutes of April 26 and May 12 Meetings
3) Reminder of meetings this year: Tuesdays 6:30pm 8/12, 9/9, 10/14, 11/12
4) Finances
a. $291 bill for Arbor Day Foundation expenses (signage) submitted by McManus
b. $6,370 bill for 16 trees from Planters’ Choice paid directly by Rotary Club
c. Bills for planting and other installation expenses yet to be received
d. Grant opportunities?
5) “Sharing knowledge with community”

c. Update on Facebook group “Ridgefield, CT Trees” (252 members)
6) Planting:
a. 20 Castenea dentata (American chestnut) trees planted at McKeon Farm
b. 17 planted on Main Street June 3-4 including 1 in front of “Desires by Mikolay”
c. Quercus alba (White oak) tree for NE corner of East Ridge Rd. and Governor St.
d. More trees for Main Street
e. Trees for Town cemeteries
7) Issues
a. Ballard Green walkways littered in autumn with nuts fallen from trees; Scouts?

a. Renewing Tree City & Growth Award applications annually
b. Identifying trees & mapping LOCATIONS using GPS
c. Library & Outdoor presentation(s)/ “hands on” seminars
d. Seven Members for Seven Sectors
i) Assess Town RoW trees et al. for a) safety; b) continuity of travel & utilities
