Applicants MUST be non-smokers, in good physical condition, and of high moral character interested in a career in the Ridgefield Fire and EMS services.
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid vehicle operator’s license.

To qualify as an Experienced Firefighter Paramedic Candidate- you must possess:

• State of CT (or equivalent) Fire Fighter II certification
• State of CT EMT Certification or PARAMEDIC license
• Valid CPAT within one-year of April 2025
• Verifiable history of providing emergency medical services at the certification level applying for

The Town of Ridgefield requires all candidates to have successfully passed the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT), and must provide proof of valid CPAT effective no earlier than April 2024 or provide proof of enrollment and must pass the CPAT by the time of interviews in
May/June.
