Rudy Marconi

Rudy Marconi, a native of Ridgefield, grew up here attending St. Mary School and Ridgefield High School. Upon graduating college Rudy went to work in the paper and printing industry and returned to Ridgefield in the late 1980s to join his Father’s contracting company.

In 1989 Rudy ran and won a seat on Planning and Zoning and served with that Commission for four years. In 1993 Rudy was elected to the Board of Selectmen and served four years, and in 1999 won his first election as First Selectman.  Since then Rudy has been successful, being reelected for seven terms, the last two being four-year terms. 

As First Selectperson, Rudy has and continues to serve on many Regional Committees.  Rudy is a member of the Western CT Council of Governments (WCCOG); Chairman of the Housatonic Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (HVMPO); and Chairman of DEMHS (Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security) Region 5, a State of CT organization responsible for the proper training and implementation of emergency procedures and protocols during emergencies.  

Ridgefield is a member of the Housatonic Resource Recovery Authority (the regional agency responsible for the proper disposal of solid waste and the promotion of recycling) and Rudy has previously served as its Chair and currently serves as Vice Chair.  Additionally, Rudy is a member of the Board of Directors of CCM (Connecticut Conference of Municipalities) and COST (The Council of Small Towns), both organizations working to promote municipalities in Hartford.

Rudy’s efforts promoting the well-being and health of residents is reflected in his establishment of the Lyme Disease Task Force and the Ridgefield Community Coalition Against Substance Abuse as well as his work as Chairman of the Housatonic Valley Coalition Against Substance Abuse (HVCASA).

Maureen Kozlark

Maureen Kozlark has been active in the community since she and her husband 

Tom moved to Ridgefield in 1989. She was President of the Mothers Club at St. Mary Church, President of the PTA  at Veterans Park Elementary School and the Joint Council of PTA’s and served on the Ridgefield Board of Education for ten years.

While on the BOE, she was the Chairman of the Communication Committee, the Negotiating Committee, the Goals Committee and the Policy Committee. She was also the Board representative to the Athletic Advisory Committee and the Master Building Committee. Maureen has worked on Philanthropic activities such as

Ridgefield Sunrise Cottage and the Keeler Tavern. She was an important part of the fundraising effort to get six tennis courts built at Ridgefield High School and helped to promote the anti-idling efforts in town with the RACE organization. She teaches religious education at St. Marys. Both of Maureen’s children graduated from the Ridgefield Public Schools.

Barbara Manners

Raised in New York City, graduate of NYU at Wash. Sq.; M.A. in History from NYU; J.D. from Fordham Law School. 17 years of legal experience working first for law firm Nixon Hargrave Devans & Doyle, then for major pharmaceutical corporations Schering- Plough in New Jersey and Purdue Frederick in Norwalk CT; ultimately general counsel of publicly-traded generic drug company Par Pharmaceutical.

Experience managing in-house as well as outside counsel, negotiating contracts, dealing with state and federal agencies, administrative law, litigation etc. Moved to Ridgefield in 1983. Husband Morgan Weber, also an attorney. Son, David Manners-Weber, graduate of Yale and current student at Yale Law, shares his mom’s interest in the political process.

Possessor of several rescue canines. Founder and first president of the Friends of the RPAC, the grass roots group that fought for and founded The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and the Performing Arts. (1994-March 2001) Founder and producer of Concert Happenings in Ridgefield's Parks, the highly successful summer series of Tuesday night concerts in Ballard Park begun in summer of 2002. www.ridgefieldct.org/chirp Producer of Acoustic Celebration, an affordable Sunday evening singer/songwriter series that takes place at Temple Shearith Israel, 46 Peaceable St and at St. Stephen’s Church, 351 Main Street. www.acousticcelebration.org

Has been Board of
Selectmen member since 1997. Served on Board of Directors of Women's Center in Danbury for three years 1996-1999 and negotiated the purchase of its permanent home at 2 West St. Currently on its Advisory Board. Board of Directors of ABC from 1996-March 2001. Member of League of Women Voters. Previously served as President of Ridgefield Branch of American Association of University Women. Former Corresponding Secretary of the Board of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra. Also Chair of the Holiday Trust Fund Committee, established at Ms. Manners’ initiative to raise funds to support Halloween Walk and downtown holiday lights.

Active in canine rescue work. Recipient of 1999 CT State AAUW Award for Community Leadership, 2010 MLK Community Service Award, 2013 Cultural Alliance of Western CT Heart of the Arts Award, and the 2014 Ridgefield Arts Council Nancy Comstock Andrews Award.

Sean Connelly

Sean Connelly has been a proud resident of Ridgefield since 2006 when he moved to town with his wife Tao, and children Tristen (RHS Class of 2021) and Jack (RHS Class of 2024).

Sean has volunteered with many town organizations, including as serving as a Division Director for the Soccer Club of Ridgefield (SCOR) and coaching 25 individual teams, volunteer coordinator for the TriRidgefield Kids race, and as a Cub Scout Den leader. Prior to being elected to the Board of Selectpersons in 2019, Sean served on Ridgefield’s Board of Finance from 2016 to 2019.  

In his spare time, Sean enjoys walking with his Bernese Mountain Dogs, biking with the Ridgefield Club, running with the Ridgefield Running Company, competing in Triathlons such as TriRidgefield and multiple Ironman 70.3 races, and kayaking & stand-up paddling in Ridgefield lakes.
